1st edition/1st printing, Random House. Unclipped DJ retains original coloring, no tears present or issue except a small wrinkle visible on front title & along edge on back near author photo, no fading to spine, some very light wear to top of the jacket flap edges, visible in photos; blue illustrated boards show age discoloration & light soiling/wear to top/bottom edges, green cloth spine very good with a touch of soiling near crown, title & author lettering all remarkably clean; publisher blue dye to top of text block only very lightly dulled, a small scuff at bottom/fore-edge from shelf wear; prior owner's name on front pastedown, minute touch of discoloration/soiling at bottom corner of flyleaf, some spotting/age as well; rear pastedown has a soiling spot smaller than a penny with some minor foxing. Jacket is encased in an archival dust protector from (possibly) the late 70s/80s, a vinyl or polyester material which adhered to the jacket surface. Likely this is why this copy is more preserved than others available elsewhere, but it cannot (to my knowledge) be removed (see pics of jacket flaps for the visible seam of this dust protector).
