True 1st edition, 1st printing Harper & Row, stated First U.S. Edition on copyright page.  Unclipped DJ is crisp & vibrant, some faint shelf wear/scuffs to front & rear, slight wrinkle on lower, left interior flap.  Maroon cloth & boards clean, silver lettering bright, light wear to board edges.  Small bookplate from prior owner on first page along with inscription reading, "May 24th 1971 (Mental Illness) E.A.K.," the understatement of the century.  A beautiful book in remarkable shape, jacket in archival Brodart.
